A linha envolve estudos e pesquisas sobre as políticas educacionais tais como: A educação no contexto das transformações da sociedade contemporânea; a relação Estado e as políticas do campo educacional; as políticas, estrutura e organização da Educação no Brasil; a regulamentação, organização e funcionamento da Educação Básica e Ensino Superior; as políticas de gestão, avaliação e financiamento da Educação Básica e do Ensino Superior; as políticas para formação de professor/profissional pesquisador da Educação Básica e do Ensino Superior

A linha contempla os estudos e pesquisas sobre a organização e o trabalho pedagógico; organização do tempo e espaço educativo como artefato cultural gerador de conhecimento; a relação escola/professor/conhecimento; práticas pedagógicas dos profissionais de educação; currículo, avaliação, didática e planejamento e a sua relação com a Educação Básica e o Ensino Superior; processo de ensino e aprendizagem no espaço escolar e não escolar. Os padrões de organização escolar, os contextos de ensino e a política educacional governamental.
A linha integra estudos e pesquisas sobre o processo de inclusão, diversidade e gênero – na Educação Básica e Ensino Superior, a relação com a formação inicial e continuada de professores, as suas conexões com as políticas curriculares, em espaços escolares e não escolares, no cotidiano escolar; no processo de implantação na gestão em espaços escolares e não escolares. Explora as interseções de gênero, raça, classe e sexualidade nas políticas de inclusão, justiça racial, direitos reprodutivos e direitos de gays e trans, bem como a relação entre identidade e sexualidade (LGBTQIA+), bem como os processos de inclusão de Pessoas Com Deficiência (PCD).
