Visiting Professors appointed under the International Visiting Professor Program may carry out academic, scientific, technical, and institutional activities according to their area of specialization, appointment category, and work plan approved by the university.
Their responsibilities may include:
• Teaching classes, courses, modules, seminars, short-term courses, and special academic activities in undergraduate, master’s, doctoral, and postdoctoral programs.
• Delivering lectures, conferences, keynote classes, workshops, symposiums, and other academic events promoted by the university.
• Serving as advisors or co-advisors for academic papers, dissertations, theses, research projects, and undergraduate research activities, in accordance with institutional standards and applicable academic requirements.
• Participating in qualifying examination committees, dissertation defenses, thesis defenses, academic examinations, and institutional evaluation processes.
• Joining research groups, study centers, scientific observatories, academic laboratories, and international research networks.
• Developing research, innovation, university extension, and academic cooperation projects in partnership with ENBER faculty and researchers.

In order to expand the international reach of the program and enable the participation of specialists from different regions of the world, Ivy Enber Christian University offers three modes of participation for its Visiting Professors.
The virtual mode is intended for participants who will carry out their activities entirely through digital platforms and online academic environments.
In this mode, the Visiting Professor may:
• Teach online classes, seminars, workshops, and conferences.
• Advise and co-advise students and researchers.
• Participate in research groups and international scientific projects.
• Serve on examination committees and academic committees.
• Collaborate on scientific publications and institutional projects.
• Participate in congresses, scientific meetings, and events promoted by ENBER.

The in-person mode is intended for Visiting Professors who will physically participate in academic activities carried out by the university.

The appointment of Visiting Professors will be made for a fixed term, according to institutional objectives, the approved work plan, and the nature of the activities to be developed.
Appointments may occur for the following periods:
• Up to 6 months.
Recommended for participation in specific projects, academic events, short-term courses, research groups, or occasional institutional activities.
• Up to 12 months.
Recommended for professors and researchers with ongoing involvement in teaching, research, academic advising, and institutional development.
• Up to 24 months.
Recommended for participants involved in strategic internationalization projects, scientific cooperation, curriculum development, or long-term research.
Appointments may be renewed upon performance evaluation, institutional interest, and approval by the University President’s Office.
At the end of the appointment period, the participant may receive a new designation or be promoted to another program category, according to their academic and scientific contribution.
