Plagiarism and AI Detection Policy
The Ivy Enber Scientific Journal adopts rigorous ethical standards in scientific publishing, committing itself to the integrity, originality, transparency, and credibility of published works. The journal follows international principles of good editorial practices in order to ensure scientific quality and the reliability of the academic evaluation and publication process.
All manuscripts submitted to the journal undergo similarity verification through specialized tools (Plagius and CopySpider), with the purpose of identifying possible cases of plagiarism, self-plagiarism, improper reproduction of content, textual manipulation, or inappropriate use of automated text-generation tools.
The analysis is conducted during the initial stages of the editorial process and may be reapplied after revisions, corrections, or prior to final publication whenever deemed necessary by the editorial team.
The Ivy Enber Scientific Journal considers plagiarism to be the total or partial reproduction of texts, ideas, data, images, tables, graphs, or any other content without proper citation of the original source. Self-plagiarism is also considered to be the substantial reuse of content previously published by the same author without appropriate reference or editorial indication.
In addition to textual similarity verification, the journal also analyzes possible indications of content generated by artificial intelligence. The use of artificial intelligence tools may be permitted solely for linguistic, grammatical, or structural support, provided that it does not compromise intellectual authorship, scientific originality, or the academic responsibility of the authors.
Submissions presenting indications of substantial generation by artificial intelligence and/or a similarity percentage exceeding 20% (twenty percent), as identified through similarity reports or specific tools adopted by the journal, will not be accepted for publication.
If high similarity indexes, indications of plagiarism, self-plagiarism, content fabrication, data manipulation, or other forms of academic misconduct are identified, the manuscript may be immediately rejected or returned to the authors for clarification, adjustments, and corrections. In situations considered serious, the journal may adopt additional measures, including communication with the authors’ affiliated institutions, funding agencies, or other competent authorities.
By submitting their works, authors declare that the submitted content is original, authentic, and unpublished — except in cases of properly disclosed preprints — and that all sources used have been correctly cited and referenced. Authors also assume full responsibility for the submitted content, including any use of artificial intelligence tools during the manuscript preparation process.
The Ivy Enber Scientific Journal reinforces that responsibility for the originality, authenticity, and scientific integrity of submitted works lies exclusively with the authors, while similarity verification and content analysis constitute complementary procedures supporting editorial quality and scientific ethics.
This policy aims to preserve the journal’s credibility, strengthen the trust of the academic community, and ensure compliance with international best practices in scientific publishing, research ethics, and academic integrity.
