TECHNOLOGY AS A DRIVER OF EQUITY
STRATEGIES TO REDUCE THE DIGITAL DIVIDE IN RURAL PUBLIC EDUCATION IN AMAZONAS

Public education in the Rural Amazon faces historical challenges arising from geographical isolation, resulting in a pedagogical distance and a sharp digital divide. This article aims to analyze how technological tools can be strategically employed to reduce this inequality, promoting educational equity in the state of Amazonas. The methodology is characterized as qualitative research, with a bibliographic and documentary nature and an exploratory approach, grounded in authors of critical pedagogy and digital justice theorists. The results indicate that overcoming the digital divide requires a systemic approach that integrates high-performance connectivity (such as Low Earth Orbit - LEO satellites), renewable energy infrastructure (photovoltaic), and teacher digital literacy. Initiatives such as the Amazonas Education Media Center - CEMEAM and sustainable robotics projects stand out as drivers of student protagonism and the valorization of local knowledge. It is concluded that technology acts as a driver of equity when it is decolonized and integrated into the socio-environmental reality, transforming the rural school into a hub for citizenship and innovation for rainforest populations.
