About the Journal

Launched in 2021, the Ivy Enber Scientific Journal (IES) is a periodical publication of Ivy Enber Christian University and is dedicated to disseminating scientific production in the fields of Human Sciences, Social Sciences, Natural Sciences, and Applied Social Sciences. The Scientific Journal accepts submissions from Brazilian and international authors, with a focus on works situated within the domains of Human Sciences, Social Sciences, Natural Sciences, and Applied Social Sciences.

The journal accepts contributions in Portuguese, English, Spanish, or other languages (upon request) from researchers. All submitted texts must include titles, abstracts, and keywords in all three languages. The journal publishes various types of manuscripts from different fields of knowledge in the following categories:

Article: Presents original scientific themes or approaches (research reports and/or experiences, case studies, theoretical studies), contributing to expanding knowledge in the field; or review articles (with analysis and discussion of previously published ideas, literature reviews, as well as methods, techniques, processes, and results).

Review: Critical appraisal and analysis of recent works.

Translation: Translated texts proposed for publication, addressing themes and authors that contribute to debates in the fields of Human Sciences, Social Sciences, Natural Sciences, and Applied Social Sciences.

Interviews: Interviews conducted with recognized researchers in the fields of Human Sciences, Social Sciences, Natural Sciences, and Applied Social Sciences are accepted.

Exceptionally, texts that have already been published in conference proceedings or as excerpts from monographs, dissertations, and defended theses will be accepted (provided that this condition is clearly stated in the “Comments to the Editor” section). In such cases, manuscripts will be subject to the same double-blind peer review process and may be scheduled for publication in future issues, respecting the limit of one such publication per issue.
