Abstract

This article discusses the role of the school supervisor at work with the education system, rescuing the role of the supervisor throughout history. It seeks to point out the skills that supervisors must be prepared to face in their daily lives. Therefore, a bibliographical survey was carried out, using the descriptors: school supervisor and attributions of the school supervisor. The objective was also to promote a reflection on how important it is, not only for the supervisor, but for the entire faculty, the moments of studies and theoretical reflections on what is done in basic education. It was observed that the practice of supervision is guided by actions that value organization and rationality, with the challenge of establishing a place for the supervisor as a mobilizing agent for change and transformation in the collective work of the school.
